Dear Can-Am™ Side-by-side Owner,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Act and the
Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) have decided
that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists on certain side-by-side vehicle of the models below and
are conducting a voluntary safety recall.
Our records show that you own a potentially affected vehicle.
What is the potential problem?
Failure may occur on steering column lower splines due to an improper assembly of steering column to the rack
and pinion. In some circumstances, this situation may result in a loss of steering control and possibly cause injuries
or even death.

What should you do?
Immediately stop using your side-by-side vehicle and contact an authorized BRP Can-Am side-by-side dealer and
make an appointment to have your vehicle inspected and repaired if necessary. The solution is the measurement
of the gap between the lower portion of the steering column and the rack and pinion and if necessary the
replacement of the steering wheel shaft or the steering column.
This work will be performed at no charge to you.
