Dirt Trax Magazine Honours Five Can-Am ATVs and Commander Side-By-Sides with annual Best In Class Awards recognition.

Motoworks / Can-Am DS 450 Pro racer Josh Frederick finished second in the Pro class at the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) opener in Devore, Calif. Can-Am X-Team support racers also scored two Pro-Am class podiums and a victory in the Production A division at Glen Helen Raceway.

BRP's Can-Am ATV and side-by-side teams reached their respective class podiums in the 34th edition of the most famous rally in the world, the Dakar Rally.

Looking to build upon its unprecedented racing success in 2011 – a season that saw two Pro-class championships, two manufacturer’s cup titles, several amateur-class titles and a successful debut with the Commander side-by-side racing efforts — BRP will again field a team of Can-Am racers on both ATVs and side-by-sides in off-road racing series in the U.S. and Canada in 2012.

INDUSTRY-LEADING $1.79 MILLION PROGRAM HAS INCREASED SERIES AND CLASS COVERAGE FOR 2012

A Can-Am Commander 1000, driven by Murray Motorsports, won the Henderson 250 Best In The Desert event to notch the first series side-by-side win in a Can-Am. A four-man race team also won Class 26 of the 2011 edition of the Baja 1000 aboard an Outlander 800R X xc.

For the 2012 ATV and side-by-side racing season, BRP has added certain Can-Am® Outlander™ and Renegade™ ATV models and Can-Am Commander™ side-by-side vehicles to its amateur racer support program that has included the Can-Am DS 450™ ATV for the past three racing seasons.

The Can-Am 4x4x4x4 Sweepstakes by BRP starts Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, and will be held exclusively on Facebook. ATV enthusiasts can earn up to 256 chances to win either a new 2012 Can-Am Outlander 1000 XT or a Renegade 1000 X xc ATV.
